Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective October 20, 2026. This policy is for residents of Washington, Nevada, and other U.S. states with consumer health data laws. Controller: Dominik Wojtucki, Dačická 137, 109 00 Praha, Czech Republic.
Consumer health data we collect and why
If you create an account, we collect:
- your nicotine pouch and snus use: time, brand, strength, amount, and optional triggers
- your craving sessions: start, length, breathing exercise, and outcome
- your quit or cut-down plan and its dates
- your questionnaire answers: usage before starting, price per can, your goal, and your reason for quitting
We use this data only to provide Canless to you: to back it up, sync it between your devices, and show your plan, progress, and statistics. Without an account, this data stays on your device and we don't collect it.
Our usage statistics include whether a logged pouch came after your quit date, how a craving session ended, and the level shown on your results screen. These statistics aren't linked to your name, email, or account; they carry only a pseudonymous device ID (a one-way hash). You can turn them off in Settings → Share usage statistics.
Where we get it
Only from you, when you enter it in the app.
Consumer health data we share
None. We don't sell or share consumer health data with third parties or affiliates. We don't use it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
Only service providers that process data on our instructions under contract: database hosting (Supabase, EU). Our analytics provider (TelemetryDeck, EU) receives only the usage statistics described above.
No third party collects your consumer health data through Canless over time or across other apps and websites.
When we collect it
Your health data leaves your device only if you create an account. We collect it only to provide what you ask for by creating one: backing up your data and syncing it between your devices. The sign-in screen asks you to agree to our Privacy Policy, which links to this policy. You can stop this at any time by deleting your account (Settings → Delete account). Deletion removes your data from our database right away, and we don't keep backup copies.
Your rights
- Confirm whether we collect, share, or sell your consumer health data, and get a copy of it, including a list of all third parties and affiliates we shared it with.
- Review and correct it: most of it you can view and edit in the app, or ask us by email.
- Delete it: in the app (Settings → Delete account), or by email.
- Withdraw your consent.
- Appeal if we refuse your request: reply to our decision with the subject "Appeal". If we deny the appeal, you can contact the Attorney General of your state.
Email [email protected] from your account's email address. We respond within 45 days. We won't discriminate against you for using these rights.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll let you know in the app before they take effect.
